... Or so I wish the woods were my cubicle. But unfortunately, I sit in a tiny cubicle all day as a Customer Service Representative. This is a typical work outfit for me. Its always difficult for me to dress up for work with out looking too weird. I'm not really into business suits or being traditional for that matter, so it is a constant battle with finding outfits that are appropriate and which I feel properly represent my style. Work also makes it difficult to blog as often as I'd like, I've been trying to wake up earlier so I can get ready and take some photos outside/ blog more frequently. I have a running lists of posts and outfits I want to blog about, but have little spare time during the week. I've just been trying to make the time, so that I can do things that make me happy again instead of being a slave to money.

I love seeing what other people lug around in their purses and have been itching to do a post of my own for ages and finally got around to doing it! Of course I carry all my stuff with my favorite tote by Fieldguided, I used my There is Thunder in our Hearts bag so much that it is nearly falling apart so I recently purchased another tote! Its bigger than the last too, all the better to put more junk in...
I usually just carry around the essentials:
-My phone (when I don't forget it). The thing is a dinosaur, but I've never really felt the need for a fancy smart phone until recently when Jeramy got the new iPhone. I may end up buying one with my tax return.
-I always have a plethora of lipstick and balm. The Korres lip butter in Wild Rose is my new favorite. It tinges your lips perfectly with a smear of pink.
-I'm always jotting down random thoughts and poetry so inky black pens and a notebook is always with me.
- Some Altoids to keep my breath fresh
- A barrette to keep my hair back( always tortoise shell).
- Sunglasses, I love these Ray Ban Clubmaster rip-offs from Forever 21.
- Olo Violet Leather fragrance that I bought from Frances May during our Portland, OR trip.
- A book to read. Still trucking through Kate Chopin's Awakening. I tend to read a lot of books at once so sometimes it takes me awhile to get through something.
- Car keys to get me from point A to B. The Mickey Mouse keychain is super old. I got it when I went to Disney World the first time when I was 6. It is still the only souvenir I have found with my name, Rosemary on it.
-Cat wallet, I found it thrifting awhile back. I think its an old glasses case, but I've been using it to hold my money and cards. Its not the best for organization, but I love it for obvious reasons.

This is a version of the outfit I wore to a show out in Jaffrey, NH this past Saturday. It was in the Mindful Bookshop on Main Street, a place I am going to have to take an afternoon off and sift through all of the amazing old books and ephemera that is stuffed to the brim there. We were there to see a friend's band, Redwing Blackbird play. I had yet to see them play live, and was not disappointed. They're folky-esque, but with an edge, I guess. If you have not noticed, I truly suck at this music critiquing thing, so you should probably check out Jeramy's blog if you're looking for a good critique of music you've never heard of. He is a million times better at talking about music and does so in great detail. Seriously, he talked to me about a tube amp he is going to buy for at least twenty minutes last night. I love that man. I should probably stick to talking about clothes though... Anyway, the other band that played, Arborea, a husband and wife duo from Lewiston, Maine freaking rocked my socks off. I pretty much immediately fell in love with their sound. Super talented and gifted people. So glad I snagged their vinyl. Have a listen below.

Why these girls look so bored and annoyed in this lookbook, I don't know. Its springtime and you're wearing the most adorable clothes ever! Seriously now, crack a smile! At least you aren't wearing 19 layers of clothing and still feel cold and don't have dry skin that itches like a mofo. Maybe its because the one chick has to wear lame easter bunny ears and pose on a toilet. Okay, I'll admit the bathroom is a pretty color that matches the pants and all, but really?! Not such a natural setting, although I do frequent bathrooms with my best girl friends, but we don't stand there and pose looking all bored like that with one foot on the toilet....
Anyway, I love the girlishness and easy breeziness of the styling with classic denim. Saddle shoes have always been a favorite ever since my sister Sarah and I had our own pairs when we were little, hers pink, mine classic black. The cute bow barrettes are something I am going to have to find/ make? I smell a DIY project! All in all, perfect spring inspiration. Now if only, the winter months will disappear?

Melancholia

I touched upon depression in my last post how it has been a constant struggle for myself. I've never been diagnosed with depression, but I strongly believe that we have all experienced it to some degree. I recently saw the film Melancholia, a film starring Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg and directed by Lars Von Trier. Set in a time where the end of the world is imminent, it beautifully depicts how depression can affect a human so deeply. With existence nearing an end, each character loses themselves in sadness, with some finding themselves again (at least in a state of understanding their depression). Von Trier accurately delves into what it means to experience an ever consuming sadness and in what ways it can affect the person and those who care for them. The cinematography is a work of art in and of itself. With each camera frame as if it were a painting hung on the wall of an impressive english estate that the film is set. If depression is something that affects you or a loved one, I suggest this movie as it brings to light why sadness is one of the most powerful emotions that we can experience. If you do see it, I suggest that you go with somebody and grab a cup of coffee afterward to discuss the movie and digest its contents, it is definetly a lot to take in.

New Year's Revelations

Reflecting back on 2011, its hard to believe another year has already started. More than ever I notice that time is truly fleeting and too precious to waste. Although, the majority of my year succumbed to negativity and depression, I've discovered and learned so much about myself that I have to be grateful that 2011 even occurred. Most importantly I have begun to understand why I have been making myself so miserable. It all boils down to a severe lack of self esteem. I have been keeping the people I love at an arms length, including my own self. I've been carrying around a crippling fear of being rejected for so long, that I did not even realize that by not letting people in, I was causing myself more and more isolation. In effect, it was myself that was creating this world of rejection surrounding me because I was afraid of being abandoned by those I love. It has only recently come to my attention that I was doing this and now that I do understand that my actions were not serving my well-being, I am committed to make the necessary effort to let love in and in turn to love myself wholly and completely. For me, 2012 means the year in which I focus and nurture my emotional, physical, and creative needs. I wish you all the best in the coming year and may you love with all you hearts. Don't ever hold back.

I was so excited to have found this cape on a thrifting hunt a few weeks ago. It is everything and more that I had been looking for in a cape and I'm so glad I held out on buying one, because this once is perfect for me, well almost, I'm pretty sure I am going to replace the buttons since the faux military buttons aren't really my thing. My goal is to replace them with some tortoise shell buttons. I wore this outfit last week to a show out in Peterborough, where I randomly ran into Michal of North Country Girl. She was very sweet and her new haircut looks awesome! We hope to meet up soon and grab some coffee together since we mingle in the same area of NH.

Christmas Spirit

The weather lately has been a bit out of whack in New England, especially in the area where Jeramy lives which has bizarre weather patterns to begin with. They always have some sort of a storm when the rest of New Hampshire has barely anything. The snow in these photos was from a little storm has since melted and I'm convinced that we had a 'White Halloween' and it will remain a 'Green Christmas' this year. I've been trying to get in the holiday spirit with a few decorations here and there. Jeramy surprised me with my own stocking hanging by the fireplace. Its a big step up from my old stocking that still read "Baby's First Christmas" 24 years later. I found this wreath at a little shop in Peterborough and bought it along with some lights to cheer up the fireplace and get us somewhat in the holiday spirit. Shopping for presents is getting there and my knitting has started to take over my life as I rush to get all of my hats done for my family and friends. I still cannot believe we'll be celebrating this weekend. Then its New Years... must start thinking of resolutions. Geez I hope next year paces itself. This year has flown!

Work threw a huge holiday bash this past Tuesday and it gave me a perfect opportunity to wear my newest steal, a dress I found at the bargain basement at Urban Outfitters at Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. I'm not one for fanciness and intricate details on clothes, but for some reason I could not resist this beaded beauty. The blush color matches perfectly with my new favorite shade of lipstick, inspired by the beauties on my the best show ever, Twin Peaks. For some reason early nineties make-up looks very simple and flawless to me. Never overdone, plus thick eyebrows were cool and for a girl with caterpillar brows, such as myself I feel confident rocking them! So onto the party, there was lots of free booze and I may have been involved in a Wii dance-off. Good times all around.

I completely forgot to ask how everybody's Thanksgiving went last week! So how was it? Mine was quiet spent at home with my immediate family and my Sister Sarah's friend, also named Sarah joined us. My sister Kate and I took on the cooking and everything came out so well. We were very impressed with ourselves. My sister Sarah who is a big goof decided that she was going to dress up like me and raided my closet and ended up wearing the loudest outfit of a mod 60's mini dress and one of my hats. It was really, really amusing.
These pictures were taken a few days ago when Jeramy and I woke up to a foggy morning and took immediate advantage of it! I wore my favorite thrifted Pendleton blouse with a peter pan collar, my thrifted faux suede skirt, thrifted loafers, and some crazy good, green tights from Target. I also wore a necklace that was handmade out of salvaged old jewelry that I bought last spring at the Broke: Affordable Arts fair. I love that I blend in with the background. Jeramy was very sweet to be my photographer for the day. Again the pictures are a mix from my Nikon and his iPhone 4s.

Saturday was a nice warm day, warm enough to get away with just a sweater and tights. Although many of the leaves have fallen off the trees, I've managed to keep the brilliant fall leaves in my barrette! I got this barrette at the gift shop at Parker's Maple Barn and though it was just the neatest thing. Its made from real maple leaves from Vermont that have been preserved through some sort of shellac. Jeramy snapped these photos when we were walking around Peterborough, NH to go to Broke: The Affordable Arts Fair, where a lot of local starving artists sell their art for next to nothing. There were so many photos to choose from since Jeramy used both his iPhone and my Nikon. I'm truly flabbergasted with how well the new iPhone takes photos. It totally rivals my DSLR! I'm obscenely obsessed with this hunter green color this fall, along with the color cranberry. Its unfortunate that when you put them together, you end up looking like a Christmas tree. Sorry about wearing the same effing jeans in every post too. I'm getting a bit unimaginative when it comes to the bottom half of my body. At least I finally gave my chelsea boots a rest and went with my loafers instead, which are about a size too big, but I don't care. They're pretty. Oh, and leaves are fun.

Parker's Maple Barn

Pancakes. Yes. Awesome. And no better a place to get them than at Parker's in Mason, NH. I used to come here as a kid and have fond memories of bundling up and going first thing in the morning before going to church with my family. The place is really kitschy with silly memorabilia nailed to the wall, which makes it all the better. I had gingerbread pancakes and Jeramy had pumpkin and we of course smothered them in maple syrup made fresh on the premises. There was also maple coffee, which ended up being a bit disappointing and weak, so we made some delicious homemade maple lattes later on in the day( we're serious coffee snobs). It ended up being a reasonably warm day, probably one of the last ones we'll have this year, but I still wanted to cozy up in my new to me sweater I found at an antique store. This is a place where memories are made, so if you're a pancake fan and are ever in Mason, NH...go.

late fall lately

Been making lattes and lattes galore, my favorite to make are pumpkin spiced lattes. I've also been "knitting" a lot and these are the colors of yarn that I've been using. I use the term knitting loosely, I'm kind of cheating with one of those circle loom thingys, which makes things easy for a novice knitter such as myself. And whilst sipping on my latte and knitting my hats, I cannot stop listening to my new Feist, Metals album on vinyl. Man, do I have a super girl crush on Leslie Feist. This album is legit super fantastic. Thats about all that has been occupying my time other than a TV show we've been watching on Netflix, which I will post about on a later date because it is that amazing and totally deserves its own post.

It was my Momma's big 5-0 the other day and she wanted to spend it at the beach. I know, in November, but we bundled up anyway and had a good time walking up the New Hampshire coast. Afterward we went to Portsmouth for lunch I had half of a Ruben and some split pea ham soup. We also went shopping and I got a chance to stop by my favorite vintage store there called The Odd Showroom (the owner has an etsy store where she crochets some really cool garments) and bought a hunter green blouse which is to die for.
Not only did I purchase a little goody for myself, but I started the dreaded xmas shopping! Can you believe that its not even Thanksgiving and radio stations are playing carols and the stores have their decorations up?!? I feel like every year it comes earlier and earlier and we just end up getting rushed through it all and do not get a chance to enjoy the holiday season. Seriously America, chill out with the Christmas.
Other than that ridiculous and random( and necessary ?) rant about Christmas, I wanted to thank you all for the warm wishes about Jeramy's father. Its going to be a long recovery, but everyday he is getting stronger and stronger. Continue to send positive thoughts.

When it snows, it blizzards.

I'm sure as most of you know the Northeast of the United States was hit by a freak blizzard a couple weekends ago. These photos were taken a few hours before the storm hit and Jeramy and I got stuck in my car on a huge hill and we were stranded there for over 3 hours. A trip home that usually takes a little over an hour took us five. Scariest drive of my life. To add insult to injury, not only did we end up loosing power for the better half of the week, Halloween was postponed due to fallen trees and downed power lines, and Jeramy's father has been in the ICU fighting to wake up from emergency brain surgery and now pneumonia. I ask that you may all take a moment and send positive thoughts and prayers his way so that he get better as soon as possible. We're hanging in there though...So do you like my jeans? Yeah I'm in love. Cranberry is so my new favorite color.

The Logging Trail

So I'm jealous of Jeramy's new iPhone... every single one of these pictures was taken with it. We had so much fun last weekend taking photos with it on an old logging trail. I think I just found my new favorite spot to take pictures. There is so much beautiful and different types of scenery and barely anybody goes out there, perfect since i get camera shy in front of people (irrational, I know, since I have no fear of spreading my photos on the internet). It ended up being a nice fall weekend. I made homemade pumpkin lattes (shot of espresso, tbs of pumpkin pie from a can, dash of vanilla, steamed milk, and cinnamon) I also made some butternut squash soup with yummy veggies in it. Jeramy is successfully turning me into a nerd, since he's already got me hooked on Dr. Who, he thought I might want to give the show Battlestar Galactica a try so we snuggled on the couch eating soup and started watching that. It really was an ideal fall weekend. Its our first anniversary this weekend, so we have some plans to celebrate. Hope you all have a fall-tastic weekend!

Blue Velvet

This is an outfit that I wore to work on this past Jean Friday. I may have gone a little overboard with all the blue, but I am so happy to have found this blue velvet blazer while thrifting not too long ago. The thing fits me like a glove and makes me feel like a million bucks, when I only bought it for a measly seven dollars. My sister Kate took these photos of me before I set off for work. I might recruit her to take more photos of me since its so much easier than setting up the tripod and running back and forth to take a picture. Maybe I can bribe her with some delicious homemade pumpkin lattes Jeramy and I have been making... they are so scrumptious! She'll be unable to resist! The Book Mill

These photos are from a few weekends ago when we went to the Book Mill down in Montague, MA before we headed out to the Fleet Foxes show in East Holyoke, MA. The Book Mill is quite literally the neatest place ever and if I lived closer, I probably would frequent it nearly everyday. Its essentially an old mill on a river that was converted into a bookstore stuffed to the brim with used books. Heaven. There was a cafe attached which served some super scrumptious ham, gruyere cheese, and apple sandwich. YUM-O.
The concert afterwards was incredible, Fleet Foxes is definitely one of my favorite bands and to see them live was fantastical. The concert was held at Mountain Park which is an old trolley park and let me tell you, the place has the greatest charm. We saw Bon Iver there a couple months ago and it is so nice to spread out a blanket under the stars and listen to some of the most amazing music. I wish I could see every concert ever there!

Great Wall of Portland

Jeramy took these photos on our last day in Portland,Oregon a few weeks ago. There is this remnant of a wall in the Pearl District that just sits there and looks pretty so we decided to climb it and have a photo shoot.

Oh, right so did I mention I went to Oregon? Yeah, so that happened. We were there for 9 days to attend Musicfest Northwest and to just check out the city in general. We stayed at the swanky Hotel Modera in Downtown Portland and spent our time perusing vintage and record stores, sipped way too much Stumptown coffee, and went to venue after venue to see some amazing bands like Iron & Wine, The Antlers, and Band of Horses to name the more well known headliners. Some of my favorites to see were Talk Demonic and Explosions in the Sky. Jeramy brought me along to see my first Metal shows which was fun too. We even squeezed some time in to rent a car and drive out to the Bagby Hotsprings and see the crazy amazing forests. I'll probably do another post soon about the trip because there is just far too much to share in just one post. All in all, it is an amazing place and I'm pretty sure that living in Portland will be in my near future!

... for a whole new Rosemud! So, hurrah!! My BEAUTIFUL new macbook arrived in the mail on Friday and I have been glued to it since then. We are new BFF's, which means I'll be around the internet more, which means more blogging for me! I have some new blog ideas floating around in my head and want to completely redesign everything, so you guys will just have to bear with me while Rosemud gets under construction.
Speaking of construction, Jeramy snapped this photo when we took a walk down his newly paved road. we took a walk to break in my new Asos Chelsea boots, which I'm super in love with! As always, I stopped to pick pretty weeds off the side of the road and where else to put them besides my hair!?

Yes, its true. I'm coming back to the blogging world. I have a macbook in the mail on its way to me to replace my Vaio whose hard drive crashed and forced me off the internet for awhile. Honestly though, it has been very necessary as life has been quite draining the last year or so. I've been needing time to refocus my energies into things that I love rather than get caught up in the fact that I am not happy with my situation currently in life.
We just got back from Portland, OR which was quite the refreshing vacation (more to come on that later)and I've been taking more time to work on myself and to be okay with where I am. I found a really great quote that really rung true in a book I got in Powell's Bookstore out in Oregon (most amazing bookstore in the world? I think so. The place takes up an entire block and I legit got lost in there.

I'd been having a hard time accepting my situation in life and have come to terms that no matter, where I am or what I am doing with my life, I must flourish and live life to the most. No more pity parties for this chick.

Hi all! Just popping in to say a little thanks for your support while I take a little time for myself to figure out a few things. Its been busy around here,but I managed a little photo shoot with the cutest dress I thrifted on a recent excursion to Buffalo Exchange in Boston. I've been working my tail off at my day job and my weekends have been stuffed with numerous activities such as painting Jeramy's house,numerous parties and get-togethers, going to shows, and trying to squeeze in some "me" time by taking day trips around the area to go swimming, get some ice cream, and to enjoy the great outdoors. There is plenty more lined up too. We're going to see Bon Iver in concert this weekend, maybe go camping in Maine or the White Mountains with my Sister, and then Jeramy and I are flying out to Portland, OR for nine days to go to the NW Music Fest the first week in September, which has me uber-pumped!If you're out that way and want to meet up, let me know!

To be honest, I have not had much desire in the past year to blog. Life has been crazy working a job that eats up the majority of my day and leaves me drained at the end. This blog used to be a place where I could share my thoughts and experiences and because I have not been taking time for myself, I have suffered somewhat of a depression, hence the lack of posting. I've been taking pictures here and there with my new camera, but really have not taken the time to get myself familiarized with it and am frustrated that my photos do not turn out the way I want them to. I'm also stuck in a rut with my wardrobe. I am completely and utterly uninspired with it all.

That being said, I'll have some posts coming up when I get around to it, but please don't expect me to be around much in the next few weeks, I want to take the time to re-evaluate myself and what I need to do in order to be happy and eventually get this blog up to snuff and renew my passion for Rosemud.

Lull Farm

This past Memorial Day weekend was a fanastic mini vacation spent at home with Jeramy, but was filled with fun excursions to the surrounding towns which involved swimming at Gregg Lake, going out for peppermint ice cream at Kimball's Farm, baking a strawberry rhubarb pie which we immediately devoured,reading Zelda Fitzgerald's biography which Jeramy tracked down and bought for me, and a trip to Lull Farm (where these photos were taken) to see some of the most adorable farm animals. It was a great kick off to the Summer season and a perfect segway into my next vacation starting today where I will be visiting Ithaca, NY for their annual Summer Fest with Jeramy. I cannot wait to see all of the gorges and will be sure to take loads of photos to share! Have a great end of the week and a nice weekend, whatever you may be doing!

The Thing in the Spring

Its usually Jeramy's thing to blog reviews of music, but since this past weekend all we did was rock out to awesome jams at a tiny music fest called The Thing in the Spring, I could not resist doing a post about the music. Over the course of three days, we got to see a plethora of artists ranging from metal to experimental to folk. The shows mainly were held in the Peterborough Historical Society Hall, but some shows were held outside (one on top of the roof of the Toadstool Bookstore), and one at the local Harlow's Pub.

The weekend was kicked off by Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth who played for the first time with his new band Flowers and Cream. There was a wide variety of music to hear, but my favorites to see were a localish band called MMoss(its pronounced like the green stuff that grows on trees, but I like to refer to them as "Mah-moss"). They are like a 1960's psychadelic rock band who has a chick who plays the flute and the organ at the same time. Pretty rad.

Another fave to see was Cokeweed a band from Bar Harbor, ME. Although the female lead vocal shrugged me off when I complimented her on her amazing Rachel Comey boots, I still ended up buying their CD I enjoyed their set so much. They sound like She and Him, only less sweet and sugary and more coke and um....weed.

Last but not least, Giraffes?Giraffes! or was it Giraffes!Giraffes? Either way this duo from Northwestern, MA really know how to put on a show. Earplugs were a must as they math rocked their way through an upbeat and technical set.

It was a cool weekend especially since, the "music scene" in NH gets a bad reputation for not really exisiting, but it does, you just have to seek it out. I always thought I had to go to Bonnaroo or Coachella to see interesting bands that I would enjoy, but that is totally not the case in Peterborough! I cannot wait now to see the Show Before the Snow coming this late fall!

Over the last few weeks, many things are new to me. Being aged twenty four, for instance. My birthday rolled around in the beginning of May and since then, I have been giving myself every excuse to spend money as a "birthday gift" to me. Example: buying a crazy expensive, yet fanastical Nikon 3100 DSLR camera. I have not the slightest idea as to how to use it, but my father gave me a Kodak book on "How to take good pictures" from the early 1980's and I am determined to figure out how the dang contraption works. I've so far managed to get some good photos out of the thing with Jeramy's help. We did this most recent photoshoot this last weekend while were were in Peterborough enjoying the Thing in the Spring music festival (more to come on this later). This particular day, there was also the Broke Arts Fair happening where a lot of local artists were selling their artwork for under $50. I bought a fabulous handmade necklace made out of an old recycled key which was soldered to an old gold chain.Its pretty rad and is sure to make an appearance on ye old blog at some point.

Oh and also check out my new specs! I won these glasses in Erin's giveaway where Bonlook offered up a pair of glasses for the winner. And I won just in time for my birthday! Crazy timing. I chose the 5' o Clock Tea Havana Frames because I am obsessed with anything tortoise shell as well as their classic frame and gold detail on the arms was a great touch. Well guys, I thought it would never arrive, but finally, spring is upon us! After a crazy winter with snow falls up to my waist, I can finally ditch my drab winter coat and heavy boots and prance around in the sunshine!

In recent news, I've taken the plunge and invested in a Nikon D3100 camera. It should be arriving sometime next week, just in time for my birthday. After over a year of struggling with my cheapo vivitar digital, which is on its last legs, I decided to indulge myself. I'm very excited to mess around with it and renew my enthusiasm for posting more often.

Jeramy snapped these photos for me a few weeks ago when we took a little trip into Peterborough for lunch. I really like walking around and checking out the little shops and now that the weather has improved significantly, many more outdoor excursions are in order. Hi! Fun things going on lately! Trips to Keene,NH, Northampton, MA, and Peterborough, NH have yielded many exciting adventures for Jeramy and I. We saw two shows (William Fitzsimmons at the Starving Artist and Kaki King at The Iron Horse). Side note, we got to meet William, epic beard and all, who upon introducing himself asked Jeramy and I if we had met him before! Obviously we had never met, but yeah I felt cool...perhaps he is a Rosemud Follower. Ha! Jeramy snagged me his signed set list too (p.s. read Jeramy's Blog Timbre Leaf if you were interested in hearing more about the show. You can listen to some of William's tracks there too.) We ate lots of yummy food including falafel and smoked turkey sandwiches with gouda cheese, apples, and walnuts (not in the same sitting to make things clear). There has been plenty of vegging out involved too. We watched The Graduate on Netflix as well as many Dr. Who episodes( Jeramy is succeeding in passing on his obsession with the British Sci Fi show onto me). I finally did my taxes and happily found out that I'm getting a healthy chunk of money back (maybe, just maybe I'll buy a super fancy camera with my refund...?) . And of course, to top off all this 'fun'ness we partook in probably my most favorite pastime--- we perused countless vintage and antique stores where I bought two new pretty springtime frocks. Hooray.

It sure has been a good time and with spring on its way (Yes, I actually spotted a few bulbs sprouting out of the ground proof that my snow shoveling days are numbered...who am I kidding, I don't shovel snow. I leave that to my Dad!) yeah uh so where was I? Oh yes, I do have some fun Boston excursions lined up, hopefully I'll have more to share coming soon!

Working a new job means more money in my bank account and what better way to utilize my first paycheck than to treat myself to these gorgeous Gap high-waisted trouser jeans. I generally cannot justify spending so much for a pair of jeans, but these babies were just exactly the new addition I've been needing to revamp my wardrobe. I'd been ogling them for weeks and as an added bonus, I can wear them for Casual Friday's at work!

Another plus to having a "real person job" is that I get the weekends off. Having worked as a waitress for the past year, weekends were always spent serving food. Now I can fully enjoy them! I had a great weekend with Jeramy in Brattleboro, VT where I picked up a Kate Bush record on vinyl. The weather was gorgeous and it was nice to grab a delicious maple latte from Mocha Joe's and walk downtown.I hope to have many more excursions to share with my newfound weekend time and when I get around to doing my taxes (yes, I've been putting it off) I hope to buy a new fancy camera with my return, so I'll be sure to post!
Even though I'm significantly more busy during the week and blogging time is hard to come by these days, I promise to make the effort to stick around!

Hello, it sure has been awhile! I started my new job two weeks ago and while its been nice to have a normal work week and more money, it has taken a serious chunk out of my fun time. I haven't been feeling much like blogging either, which does not help much.
Yesterday, Jeramy and I spent the day in Northampton, MA bumming around town, checking out shops and such. It was a good day, fairly mild in temperature with bursts of sunshine here and there. Today the air has been warmer and the snow is starting to disappear in spots. I cannot express my excitement for that! I've got spring fever like woah.

Yeah so what if there is still like 20 feet of snow outside? The birds are a chirpin', the sun's a shinin', the breeze outside is balmy. Its practically spring today in New Hampshire and I could not be happier, hanging out listening to The Rolling Stones Flowers album on vinyl, sipping on some tea writing this post. Also, I am thrilled to have received my Fieldguided tote from Anabela just in time for Valentine's Day. It is so perfect for lugging around all of my junk and it looks so pretty while doing so!
My outfit today is not so creative, just my favorite high waisted BDG jeans, a forever 21 crop top, the color of which I am obsessed with, and my brown equestrian boots.I've been pretty lazy getting dressed lately, mainly sticking to cardigans and jeans. I also got my hair cut yesterday, I'm satisfied with the results, although its a bit shorter than I wanted. I'll get some photos for you guys, but I need to give it the obligatory few days for it to become accustomed to my head.

Happy Valentines everybody! Sorry I'm not looking too loving in my photos today. I was rather annoyed with my camera which I had to prop up on a chair due to the fact the cheap thingy that holds the camera to the tripod snapped off. I'm thinking because my camera is about to bite the dust, I may invest in a Digital SLR as a "I've got a big girl job" now present.

So besides my crummy camera, I am in a really good mood! Jeramy and I had a nice and relaxing weekend and although neither one of us are big advocates for Valentine's Day we decided to get all dressed up and go out for dinner. He cleans up very well in a suit and tie, if I do say so myself. We also watched The Fountain, a very underrated film by Darren Arronofsky( the Director of Black Swan).

So as you can tell, New England continues to be schooled by mother nature in the snow department. The past week was spent holed up with a nasty cold watching all five seasons of Daria on DVD. OH and I got a new job as a customer service associate with a major financial planning company! I get benefits and get to wear awesome fancy work clothes, instead of the drab all black waitressing get-up. Win!

I bought this blouse at Savers last week because it reminded me of this one from Madewell and if I do say so myself, it goes fabulously with my BDG Urban Outfitters High-waisted skinny jeans which I cannot seem to take off. These shoes I bought at Kohl's are quickly becoming a favorite of mine too.

This past weekend was spent in good ole Keene, New Hampshire perusing through old records, hitting up some boutiques where I lusted over pretty dresses I could not afford,sipping on coffee in my all time favorite cafe Brewbakers, and then later drinking red wine by the roaring fire, and re-watching The Royal Tennenbaum's for the umpteenth time. It is absolutely frigid outside and we're expecting yet another giant snow storm, so I think I'm just going to hole up and listen to records, which is pretty much my new favorite thing to do. Might as well do it in style.

Over the weekend Jeramy ventured into Boston to see Fashion Photographer, Richard Avedon's Exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts. A post focused more on Avedon's photography is in the works and I will talk more about that soon. I haven't been to a museum in what seems like ages and I'm so grateful Jeramy suggested the MFA as a date. I'd like to write some more about our brief trip into the city, but since I am still recovering from a bout of food poisoning from a little Indian food joint during our trip, that will have to wait. With the new year comes some new resolutions. This year I am resolving to do the following:

Handle my finances better: This means no impulse shopping...

Live more organically: I want to be more aware of the impact that I have on myself and the environment around me.

Whip my Etsy Shop into shape: If at some point I want to open up my own Vintage Boutique, I'm going to need proof that I can at some level run a business. I will need to update a whole lot more.

Update more frequently on my blog: I will work more on my photography, gain more direction with my personal style, and get my blog visually where I want it to be.

Spend more time doing the things I love: At least an hour a day with reading, painting, writing more poetry, doing yoga, and being in nature.

Explore more: listen to new music, research more designers that I like, seek out new friends and communities.

Stop being so judgemental: This goes for being judgemental with myself as well as others.

Love with all my heart: If I can be open and loving with myself and the ones I love, I can share that love and compassion with everybody around me.

So thats about it for resolutions, I feel that every year I set unattainable goals for myself, but this year, I'm confident that I can handle these ones!

The Pickwick Papers

For my first Pickwick Ladies Book Club post, we read Louisa May Alcott's Little Women. I had grand plans to take photos at the Alcott property in Concord, Massachusetts, but it was closed the day I had planned the shoot. My next idea was to do a shoot ice skating on a pond as the March girls would do, but I have apparently misplaced my beloved ice skates. Last minute Jeramy mentioned Madame Sherri's Castle Ruins, which are in Chesterfield, NH on the border of Vermont. Its her old estate in the middle of the woods that burned down, leaving some amazing remains. I'd love to go into more detail about the location, but I really must get into the reading material at hand. If you have more interest on the subject, check out this link here.It really is quite fascinating.

The thing that resonated the most in Little Women was the relationship between the March Girls. I myself am one of four girls and can see a little bit of all of us in Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. I relate the most to Jo as she is whimsical and imaginative girl who loves to read and put on plays. As children, my sisters and I used to put on little plays for our family and I can remember being in charge like Jo would be. She is also a literary fiend, locking herself up in her room to read and write, which I do all the time. Little Women was a fun read, I read it a long time ago as a young girl and was happy that Mel of Idee Geniale chose it for the club, as it was something that I had been wanting to re-read for awhile. Next month, we'll be reading another of my favorites; Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. Stay tuned!

Last weekend Jeramy and I headed into town to grab some coffee and look for some books and music. Jeramy lives way out in the boonies and "going into town" means going to an almost equally as small Peterborough, New Hampshire. Its exceedingly quaint with a river running through the downtown, laden with brick buildings, window store fronts, and a crumbling cemetery up on a hill. Peterborough was quaint enough that playwright Thornton Wilder, thought it would be a good setting for the very famous play "Our Town".

Its definitely a cute place and the best part of the day was walking into this little boutique named Alice Blue. I was infinitely inspired by this store, which occupied a small, teeny tiny house with clapboard haphazardly nailed to the outside. Inside you'll find a beautiful jewelry display with an antique glass case. There are a wide array of vintage photos and ephemera covering the walls of the too small front room. Up the sinking, narrow staircase you'll find more goodies. Owning a small boutique that sold vintage clothing alongside indie designers is what I want to do and Alice Blue just confirmed that.

Another exciting part of the day was that Jeramy tried his hand of photographing me! He did a good job, right?! Neither of us are particularly satisfied with my cameras and hope to find a way to take better pictures. He even has some photo shoots and excursions in mind for me. What a guy! Thanks Jeramy~

Its been absolutely beautiful outside except for the freezing cold. I ended up taking photos inside because I couldn't bear to run to and fro from my tripod to take photos. Luckily enough, Jeramy has so graciously offered to help out photographing me. How sweet is he? We're heading to Portsmouth, NH this weekend to finish up some Christmas shopping, so hopefully we can squeeze in a little photo shoot!

Just dropping in to say Hi and Happy Holidays. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving too! Mine was good although I had to work in the evening, but I had plenty of time to spend with my family to cook and chow down beforehand.

Hello all, I apologize for my lack of internet presence the past few weeks, and I really have no excuse except for sheer laziness. I've been keeping busy working, going to Boston, hiking, eating delicious foods, drinking my new favorite drink: Mate, and discovering some great new music. I've really been having a lot of fun!
I have some posts lined up over the next few days and hopefully I can get some momentum going from here on out and perhaps even update my etsy shop for the holiday season!

Between Two Lungs

A perk about living back at home is having my younger sisters around. We're all very different(sartorially as well), but we all manage to get along...well for the most part. Many of our fights begin over stolen clothes and I'm sure if you have sisters you can sympathize.

With my current shopping ban in effect, I figured why not check out my sister's closets to see if I could find something to freshen up my look. I found this blouse which belongs to my lovely sister Sarah. It isn't quite my style, but I've lately been obsessed with Florence + The Machine and thought it looked like something the lead singer Florence Welch would wear. I'm actually wearing it backwards and like it better this way. Sorry for wearing my clogs again, but I freaking love them and probably will wear them into the ground!

I ventured out the other night to go see a show in a bookstore and was glad I did! Not only did I hear some amazing local music, I ended up making some friends too. Great times were had by all and if you're ever in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire I highly recommend you look up the bands Lonesome Lake and Songstress Christine Hayward. Just fabulous! Yay for getting out of the house and being adventurous!

Pumpkinfest

This past weekend, I attended Pumpkinfest in Keene, NH. I've attended quite a few in my day ( it is held every October in the town I went to college in). Its a great time filled with seeing old friends, looking at really neat jack-o-lanterns, and going to bars. Keene actually a few years ago broke the record for the most amount of lit pumpkins in one condensed area until Boston decided to steal the title from the little country town. So not fair. Regardless, its fun, but after the same old routine every year it starts to feel a bit old and since Boston started their own, the whole thing has kind of gone down hill. Rumors are floating around saying that this will be the last festival. But then again they've been saying that for a few years now. Fingers crossed that it won't because it is really a fun tradition.

This oufit is the result of my shopping binge last weekend. I bought this stuff on a trip into Boston when I felt I had nothing to wear. Its funny, with a closet bursting to the seams with clothing, I can still feel as if I have absolutely nothing to satiate my need to feel fashionable. That is something I will have to work upon if I want to continue my shopping ban. I hope with the money I save, I will be able to pay off some of my bills and alleviate the monetary stress I feel right now. I know that if I remain determined I can make it through till spring.

Onto my outfit: I got this knit dress at H&M along with the knee socks. I think the dress will actually come in handy with the chilly weather we've been experiencing and I will be able to mix it up. I also got these shoes at Forever 21. They were just too cute to pass up. I've been needing some black heels and these t-strap clog knock-offs are perfect. My head band is one of my Dad's old knit ties from the 80's. It's kind of ridiculous to think that it was actually popular to wear them back in the day. They seem a bit tacky. I like it as a headband though!

One of the current major stresses in my life is money. I have not been handling my finances in the most adult manner and my compulsive shopping habits do not help my already depleting bank account. That being said, today, I am making a promise not to buy any new clothes until the first day of spring. Don't worry though! I have plenty of reserves and clothing that I've bought with the intention of selling and never did. Not only will I save hoards of money, it will give me the opportunity to get creative with my weardrobe! It will be a rough road, but as long as I steer clear of The Salvation Army, Target, and the mall, I should make it through alright.

Socks and shoes is my favorite combination these days. Gotta love thigh highs, knee-highs, trouser, anklet,mesh. Love them all and want to pair these pairs with everything!

One of my favorite trends this fall is any and all southwest/navajo inspired. I'm obsessed with this what appears to be handmade dress with its bold and graphic zig-zag patterns. I paired it with my fun fringe boots I got at Target a few years back and this gorgeous rust hat with a fun feather in its cap. The funky rust color is definetly up there with plum for my favorite colors for autumn this season.

I'm feeling like lately I have been more present on this blog, but not really.My mind has been completely elsewhere. The last month has been hard on me, no, post-graduation( so like the past year and a half) has been hard on me and I have been feeling immense pressure to "figure it all out" or have some "direction". Everybody has such high expectations for me and I feel like I will never be able to attain them. I'm a stubborn person and when people close to me, who care and sincerely have my best interest at heart push me towards something, I freeze up and don't budge. I suppose I need to just tune everybody out and focus on what I need and want out of life. I'm sick of living my life solely to please others and in return do not take care of myself and my needs.I'm not exactly sure where all of that rambling leaves me, but yeah I guess I just had to put it out there.Thanks for bearing with me.

Onto what I'm wearing. I picked up this gorgeous paisley dress at the Salvation Army awhile back and love it's crimson color. Plus paisley is like one of my fave prints ever.

Oh and you really must watch this video, besides the fact it is one of my favoritest songs in the entire world and has freaking Kermit the Frog puppets lipsynching to Queen's Under Pressure, it is truly inspiring and heartfelt video about homelessness.

Turn and face the strain

I've been up and down the last few weeks in my blogging due to the fact that my life has been a roller coaster of sorts. The sudden transition to fall has been a transitional period in my personal life as well. Ethan and I have decided to go our separate ways and I have moved back home to New Hampshire to live with my family. I have been commuting an hour everyday to work infinite doubles waitressing everyday and frankly I have been far too exhausted to involve myself in the blogging world. With my poison ivy waning and being transferred to a restaurant closer to me (and potentially working less hours), I am making a promise to myself and to my amazing and supportive readers that I will be focusing a lot more energies into my blog and my Etsy store because it is truly something that I love to do and I have sincerely missed being involved. I'm not exactly sure what tomorrow will bring, but I'm positive that with hard work and dedication, good things will come my way.

Poison Ivy

That's right folks! I'm suffering from a nasty bout of poison ivy on my legs and feet. I guess I should have figured that trekking about in woods and overgrown fields to take pictures for my blog the nasty plant would catch up with me at some point. I've never had it before and MAN IT IS ITCHY! I cannot emphasize that point anymore!

Well since my legs are covered in lovely pink calamine lotion, I figured my new Norma Kamali maxi dress for Wal-mart should get some use. I did have to chop a few inches off the bottom (I'm tall at 5'9'' and this puppy was loooong, I'm not sure even a giantess would fit comfortably), but at the price and at the expense of it being a comfy jersey fabric, I was immediately sold. I',m also rockin' the military trend right now, which I really dig because I get to wear my fatigue-like jacket I bought at Forever 21 ages ago and my new combat boots! It almost makes up for the fact that I am in agony. Any poison ivy remedies out there you guys know of? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Breath of Fresh Air

So I have a little confession for you all. I took off this past weekend from work with the intention of going to New York for NYFW. Last minute I unfortunately got cold feet about the whole thing and instead went camping in the White Mountain Region in NH. A lot of big changes have been occurring the past few weeks and I literally needed those few days to catch my breath and I did not think that the city would be appropriate for that. I really did want to meet a lot of you girls and still hope that we can at some point! there will be other Fashion Weeks to attend, I'm sure! Instead I went camping in one of my favorite places in the world, where I used to go camping all the time as a little girl in NH. The weather was gorgeous albeit a little cold at night and I was very excited to get to wear my favorite ensemble in the cooler temps: jeans and sweaters.

The first few photos were taken at a river that runs down by the campsite where as a little girl, my sisters and I would jump from big rock to the next down the river. I enjoyed repeating my childhood ritual and man, was I a fearless little kid! I've got long legs now and had difficulty leaping to some of those rocks!

A New Leaf

Hi my dears. A lot has changed in the last few days and I am scrambling to get what is left of my life back in order. Summer is still in full swing (heatwave here in New England), but I cannot help dreaming of cooler temps and for the beautiful leaves to start changing colors. Autumn has always been my favorite season and I am very excited (and terrified) to start anew.

A few months back in April I made a mysterious trip to NYC and had to keep my intentions secret. I can now share that I was actually auditioning for the second time for America's Next Top Model. This was a closed casting call and I actually made it really far (to the step before you actually get onto the program). It was very exciting as I have always wanted to be a model and thought I had a fair shot at it. Unfortunately I never heard back from ANTM or Tyra. I'm really glad I have this blog though. I get to live out my fantasy of being a model while also being the photographer, stylist, and manager. I want so passionately to be a model and know that if given the opportunity to move to LA or NYC I could do it, but feel held back by money and responsibilities here in New England. I have always secretly held some desire for someone to discover me by means of this blog and whisk me away from the mundane life of a college grad with a BA in Spanish waitressing at Ruby Tuesday's. But alas is not the case. I've successfully wasted enough time just hoping for some big break and have not actively pursued anything and it has begun to affect my relationships and more importantly my passion for achieving my dreams.This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
This coming fall, not only will the leaves change, but my attitude towards life will change too. As my favorite literary heroine Anne Shirley states in Anne of the Island "It is not what the world holds for you, it is what you bring to it". From here on out, I'm done wallowing in the past and and starting a new chapter where my dreams will come true.

New England has been blessed over this summer to have very few rainy days, causing there to be somewhat of a drought here, but over the past few days, all it has done is rain and I could not be happier with the cooler temperatures and the soothing sound of rain trickling down my windows.

Starr sent me this beautiful floral crown she made herself when she sent along the Modcloth Chain Letter Dress and I absolutely love it! Doesn't it fit perfectly in with its natural surroundings!? Thanks dear!

The Outer Banks III: Lost Colony

This is going to be my last post about my trip to North Carolina and coincidentally I am wearing one of the first pieces of vintage I bought. I found this dress at Sid Vintage in downtown Northampton, MA a few years back and have been loving it ever since. I think it is the vibrant colors that do it for me.

I wore this dress to go see an outdoor play about The Lost Colony. Ever hear about this? Another colony who came over about the same time as the pilgrims and were never heard from again. Apparently the first U.S. baby was born here and named Virginia Dare. I'd tell you more about this creepy story, but we never actually got to see the play as it got rained out. After we drove an hour out to see it. We then proceeded to drive home in the scariest thunderstorm EVER. Thought we were going to die. Luckily that was not the case.

The Outer Banks, part I

Goodness me! How has everybody been?! I just got back from North Carolina after a week of sun soaked, water logged relaxation with Ethan and his family. They were so kind to invite me along to a gorgeous beach house they had rented in Avon, NC in the Outer Banks. Ethan's family makes the torturous and I mean torturous 12 hr drive to the island to windsurf and hang out with relatives from the area every year or two. The beach house was located right off a wildlife preserve which shielded us from the built-upiness of the island, which is chock full of vacation homes. It was right on the water ( the sound side) and provided ample water to learn how to windsurf! This place was pure serenity, the views were spectacular, I got some reading in( Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) plus this much needed vacay time gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my new sunhat off the clearance racks at Target.

The chevron stripe in this vintage bathing suit is my fave! Except when I got knocked over by a giant wave, was dragged alont the shoreline which basically filled the panty lining with sand. It felt like a beanie baby in my crotch area. TMI, I know sorry.

The Modcloth Chain Letter Dress

So remember the days when a friend would send you some chain e-mail saying something along the lines of send this email to one hundred of your friends in fifteen minutes or else you will DIE! Well, when Starr from A Thought is the Blossom contacted me to be the second participant in Modcloth's Chain Letter dress swap, I was ecstatic and more than willing to live up to the stipulations of mailing it to another gal once I was finished wearing it.

A lot of you may have the concern that it may not fit all sizes, which is understandable, there is no way that one dress can fit multiple sizes, a la The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but the dress is a size large and has an elastic back to provide ample space for different bust sizes and the hips are completely free. Normally, I wear a size small, and although the dress was a tad large on me, it fit rather well.

Enough about the size, the dress itself is a cute chambray fabric with an embroidered collar and pockets. I felt so Hansel and Gretel in it outside in the woods. Starr had such a good idea with passing around this Modcloth Dress to girls outside of the normal and regular (and oh so awesome) Modcloth crew and am so excited to have been able to participate in it. This is my first Modcloth item!

This outfit is my Alexa Chung for Madewell collection Summertime edition. A little tidbit about Madewell is that the original brand was based out of New Bedford, MA and J. Crew just bought the company out and adopted its name for its sister store. So you would be as shocked as I was to have found this original Madewell overall dress at the Goodwill. I hemmed it up a bit, but it is almost like having my own Alexa Dress from Madewell, but at pennies compared to what I would spend at the updated Madewell. Super score!
Also, sorry I've been wearing these sunglasses like woah, but I love their classic 90's frame and cannot get enough! The fact that they are tortoise shell just enhances their awesomeness. I got a new watch too at Target which I am obsessed with too for only $10, its very 90's classic preppy also!

Some more posts down by water again. I found this little inlet where people throw their kayaks into this pond while driving to a new Salvation Army I had not been to before. There were these pretty purple flowers blooming all over. The lighting wasn't just right so their brilliant color kind of just gets washed out, but believe me they were gorgeous!

I found a couple of good stuff at Salvo's including another longer skirt with the most adorable print on it. I also got my hair cut yesterday (not that you would be able to tell), but to me it is so much shorter which makes me sad, but it isn't all bushy and dead at the ends anymore, so I guess I'm happy with it.

So you know how I like never post anymore? Well you can blame Ruby Tuesday's for that. I am going to be on the job hunt on my days off, because frankly I cannot stand the place anymore. That being said,I will shortly be consumed by the search and my posts will probably be few and far between. To make up for that, I have a plethera of photos for you to sift though from my day trip to the beach and Portsmouth, NH.

The weather was really odd yesterday.Driving to the beach it was sunny and hot without a cloud in the sky, but as soon as we got to the beach, there was a thick fog which started to go away until a brief thunderstorm rolled in, kicking us out of the ocean. We then decided to head over to Portsmouth, NH to visit with some girlfriends downtown. It ended up being gorgeous. There is so much to do in Portsmouth tons of coffee shops, vintage stores, music and book stores, Art galleries. It is such a fun and historical place to visit. If you ever visit New England, you should put this place on your list. I absolutely adore this little seaside town and would move there in an instant, I love it so.

Dudes and dudettes, let me tell you that it is hot as H-E-double hockey sticks in here and I am on the verge of going against Ethan's desires to not get an air conditioner because its "too expensive". I am not sure if I can take it anymore, I'm actually glad to go to work solely because it is air conditioned. Not cool(no pun intended).

Because I'm so hot and busy with work, there is nothing more right now that I would like to do than go on vacation to the French Riviera or Monaco or somewhere fancy like that and I would totally wear Jason Wu's 2011 Resort Collection in a heartbeat. It is uber sophistique (yes I just used French and German together?!) and seriously throw a boater hat on anybody and I'm game. Love it.

Oh! so the concert was amazing, Zooey wore a little sparkly halter dress and has so much fun energy. She looked like an adorable sparkly little jumping bean on stage. It was fantastic. What was not so fantastic is that I failed to take any outfit photos. I'll have to recreate it for you once I get the day off.

Howdy hi everybody! I'm a bit unsure of how much outfit posting I am going to be able to fit in this week and I know for a fact that I will not be able to do a 4th of July post as Ruby Tuesday's will temporarily have possession of my soul this weekend. That being said, I decided I would celebrate our country's independence a week early! I threw this outfit together and concluded it reminded me of something Kate Winslet's character in Revolutionary Road would wear.

He is barely visible, but I had a little wildlife encounter in the woods with a deer. If you look really closely over my left shoulder you can see, very faintly though, my deer friend!! Its kind of like playing eye spy, but he's there!!

A dress and a DIY

Last summer, while up in Portland, Maine. My friend Hayley and I went to see my favorite band Guster in concert.The lead singer from one of the opening acts was wearing this dress and I just fell in love with its pea green color and flowy jersey fabric.The next day while exploring shops in cute downtown Portland, we found the exact same dress and I bought it on the spot.

So I'm a big do-it yourselfer. I like to fix things and make them pretty. The heel on one of my espadrilles broke and I basically managed to cobble the thing back together so I could wear them once again. I also recently found this lamp at the Salvation Army and it reminded me of one that my grandmother owned. I loved the milk glass shade, but the faux brushed nickel finish left something to be desired. I ran to the hardware store and located this sweet tangerine spraypaint et voila new lamp. I just love it.I love lamp(sorry I had to reference Anchorman).

Well hello stranger! Man, I've been working my little butt off waitressing. I worked everyday this weekend and Father's Day was crazy, but I made a TON of money so I am perfectly okay with that. So that is where I have been, running around like a mad woman delivering wrong orders to people because I am probably the worst waitress ever. Ooops.

Anyway, I live literally next door to these train tracks(thank god the train only comes through once around noontime because that thing is LOUD) and have been wanting to take photos here for like ever. I always love when people take photos by train tracks. It gives the photos a kind of vagabond feel, like the person in them is on their way to hop aboard a moving train and stowaway.
Sometimes I wish I could lead the vagabond/nomad life and just see where life takes me, but with responsibilities and bills to be paid, unfortunately that could never be the case.

Also, expect to see me in longer skirts now. I love this calf length and even though it is mad hot outside these flowy things keep it breezy and comfy, not to mention that my legs don't stick to my hot leather car seats which is always a plus!I just bought a ton at the thrift store in so many great colors and prints, can't wait to show them all!!
